A 27-year-old male, driving a red Ford Falcon and a 44-year-old man, driving a silver Isuzu MU-X came together at the intersection of Binya Street and Barellan Street at about 5.45pm.
According to Police the Isuzu MU-X was travelling south along Barellan Street before the red Ford Falcon allegedly failed to give way at Binya Street and collided with the MU-X.
The MU-X was carrying two children who were fortunately, along with the drivers of both vehicles, not injured.
Ambulances also attended the scene as a precaution while the fire brigade were also on site helping with the clean up effort.
Both drivers were subjected to a breath test which determined alcohol was not a factor, with both drivers coming back with a negative reading.
Police remained in the area controlling traffic until the cars were taken away by tow trucks later in the evening.
