About 3.30pm Saturday 18 March 2017 police were called to a house in Kook Street Darlington Point regarding a dispute between persons at the location.
Police were not able to locate the people involved in the dispute, however while at the location a strong smell of cannabis was detected near the house.
Police looked and saw what appeared to be cannabis plants growing in the rear yard.
Consent was obtained from the residents to search the back yard. When police entered the yard 11 cannabis plants were located growing there.
A 34 year old male who resides at the house made admissions to growing the plants.
The cannabis plants were seized and the male will be receiving a Court Attendance Notice to attend Griffith Local Court for cultivating prohibited plants.
