Weather proves no barrier for players

Although a wet start ruled out the Monday Night Men’s A Grade the weather did little to discourage the rest of the competition.

In Monday Night Ladies tennis Azarenka had another win, just getting over the line against Wozniacki in an even-sets match, winning 32 games to 20 and Kerber showed Stosur how it’s done (4-2). This round places Azarenka squarely as front-runner with a three-way tie for second.

In Tuesday Night Mixed a close game was played between Cougars and Unstoppable indicative of two of the top ranked teams. Elsewhere the scores were a little more decisive with Tourists defeating Schoolies (6-0), Black Magic taking care of Aggies (6-0) and Nailed It too strong for Aces (6-0), maintaining their unbeaten streak.

In Wednesday Night Mixed tennis Shud bringing in their sixth win against Pinnacle HPC (6-0). Bits & Pieces also came home over One Hit Wonders (5-1), Young Guns taught Super Cool a lesson (4-2), Whatever held their nerve against Double Trouble and Nice Gary sent Deuce Bags packing (6-0).
