While Griffith eagerly awaited Friday night’s Nitro Circus performance, one group had a special preview as members of the team visited the local skate park with kids from the PCYC.

The action sport collective put the call out to the local community in the lead up to their show for suggestions on how they should spend their spare time, with dozens of ideas submitted.

However it was a chance to spend time with the kids at the PCYC proving too good to pass up.

For six-year-old Eli Firebrace, who has barely been able to contain his excitement since winning tickets to see the show, it was news almost too good to be true.

The eager fan was lost for words when he found out he would have the chance to meet some of his idols, after having counted down the days until he would get to see them perform.

“I can’t wait to go there, and its only the day after tomorrow,” he said on Wednesday.

“It is going to be so good because they do so much tricks and the best trick is the side-slips."
