Bennett’s 154 not out bested Exies whole team score of 110 by 44 runs.
The opener was unstoppable in bringing up his second ton for the season and received support from Peter Taprell (25), Sam Bryant (31) and Graham Kelly (29*) along the way.
Dan Brady (2/42) was Exies’ best as Coro posted an imposing 6/276.
Top order efforts from Blake Wiseman (17), Scott Campbell (40), Jonathon Streat (17) and Gavin Woods (15) made a dent in the total but the Cougars bowling attack was on song.
Nicholas Witherspoon (5/35) led the way and claimed his second five-wicket haul of the season.
Teei Piawi and Andrew McIntyre took two wickets each to seal the 166-run win.
Diggers unbeaten run since round 12 remained intact as the side beat Leagues Club thanks to a Greg Collins-haul that Steve O’Keefe would be envious of.
Before Collins could weave his magic, Diggers batted out their 40 overs and posted 5/166.
Steve Parr (2/21) snared two early wickets to have Diggers at 3/36.
However, Brendan Wade (42) and Brett Owen (49*) produced healthy knocks before Sukhi Singh (2/33) removed Wade.
Owen and Neil Casey (15*) then guided Diggers to their total.
Leagues Club was reduced to 3/34 before Collins let rip.
He started picking up wickets left, right and centre.
Singh (34) repelled Collins for a while before he too fell to the in-form bowler.
Collins ended with 6/27 from seven overs as Leagues Club was bowled out for 91 runs.
A mighty batting effort from Hanwood’s top order saw the side register a convincing 106-run win over a 10-man Yenda outfit at Collina.
Wickets were hard to come by for Yenda as Reed Bunyan (59), Shannon Caughey (16), Neil Geltch (40) and Kym Wheeler (27) put Hanwood in a commanding position.
Michael Rynhart (3/22) took some late wickets but Hanwood still managed to put on 5/191.
Opening bowlers Caughey (4/45) and Chris Barbagello (2/24) never gave Yenda a chance.
The pair combined to quickly put Yenda on the back foot.
Peter Vardanega (63) was a standout for Yenda – he scored 74 per cent of his side’s runs – but it wasn’t enough to get Yenda over the line.
The Jets were all out for 85 after 17.1 overs.
