Coro sat third heading into the final round and the 61-run win saw Coly drop back to second and also handed the Cougars the minor premiership.
Thomas Fattore (3/25), Cooper Smith (2/26) and Sam Breed (2/13) chipped away at Coro’s batting lineup but there was one player they found hard to remove.
Dean Bennett (69) was the last Coro wicket to fall but not before he’d amassed more than half of the Cougars runs.
His effort saw Coro post 134 runs.
The Nomads were in strife early as they fell to 4/6 thanks to a run-out and the bowling efforts of Blake Argus (1/4) and Ben Signor (2/2).
However, knocks from Jack Cullen (16), Tom Bowditch (12) and James Buchanan (18*) revitalised the innings.
Stephen Witherspoon (2/3) and Josh Smith (2/3) were up to the task, though, and helped bowl Coly out for 73.
The other game saw Leagues Club go down to Exies.
James Roche (28), Kokulan Kandeepan (27) and Aditha Jayasuriya (14) fought back after Exies had fallen to 2/20.
Tom Greenaway (4/16) was reintroduced to the attack late to restrict Exies to 9/108.
The Panthers lost early wickets and weren’t able to recover.
Ryan Minato (27) top-scored for Leagues but Nate Mcgregor (3/6) and Mason Ashcroft (4/1) were on fire to skittle Leagues for 57.
Despite the loss, Leagues Club still moved through to the finals.
The Panthers will meet Hanwood in the elimination final while Coro and Coly face off in the qualifying final.
