The staff at The Area News got up close and personal with the majestic animals as they made a quick stop at the Billabong Bottleshop.
The fascinating ode to the past travels with the AFL preseason competition as part of its company’s major sponsorship to the competition.
The impressive animals also toured other parts of the region, before setting up camp and resting during the GWS-West Coast clash at Narrandera on Saturday afternoon.
The Clydesdales proved popular throughout the city, as they meandered the streets and dropped into establishments including Leagues Club and Billabong for photos with impressed onlookers.
The horses pulled a dray filled with old-style kegs led by Richard Gelder.
Mr Gilder insisted his kegs were empty, as eager fans of the product hovered during the heat of the mid-afternoon sun.
