After losing Liam Greenaway (0) early Andrew Madden and Jimmy Binks lifted the side to 21 before Madden was dismissed by James Harrison (3/23).
It brought Matheson to the crease and in combination with Binks the pair elevated Leagues to 3/52 before Binks fell.
Late hitting from Raj Singh (28) down the order helped elevated Leagues to a total of 144.
The reply for Diggers did not start well losing Dom Brown (0) and Leon Vico (2) in quick succession.
Scott Smith (7) and captain Pat Whittard (9) tried to get their team moving in the right direction however the slide slumped to be 7/29 as Raj (2/3) and Harry Singh (3/13) ripped their way through the line-up.
Craig Lugton (14*) top scored in Diggers’ innings, which finished with just 55 on the board.
