The Come and Try Shoot will be open for all to enter and run in conjunction with the club’s regular 75-target sporting clays shoot that begins at 12.30pm.
“Non-members who wish to participate will receive free nominations with tuition from an experienced club member,” president Warren Brown explained.
“The only cost will be the ammunition used, which will be available at the club.
“Those without a firearms licence will need to complete a special form available at the shoot in order for them to use a firearm.
“Current NSW firearms regulations require junior shooters aged from 12 to 18 years to have this form signed by a parent or guardian.”
Sporting clays is simulated field shooting using clay targets with clay throwers set in different locations to throw targets at different angles and speeds to simulate a range of targets encountered when hunting.
The Dave Wallace Range is situated on Simms Road – off the Rankins Springs Road – three kilometres from Beelbangera.
Follow the signs to the sporting clays range at the top of the hill.
