The agonising wait lies ahead for 50,000 applicants, who have to wait until 6pm to find out if they have received a Main Round offer.
Applicants will be able to view the results through the University Admission Centre's (UAC) website or through the My UAC mobile app.
UAC estimates more than 40,000 offers will be made in the Main Round and one person hoping to receive an offer is TAFE gradate Natasha Curley.
“I am excited to hopefully get an offer and move onto the next stage of my life,” Miss Curley said.
“Getting a Main Round offer means I can plan and organise everything and start studying again.”
Miss Curley has applied for a Design and Communication course and a Graphic Design course and said she looks forward to knowing what her option are when the results are revealed.
“It’s going to be good to finally know what I can do and know exactly what my options are, where I can go and what course I can do,” she said.
More than 10,000 year 12 graduates have already had the luxury of receiving a university offer during early and preliminary rounds, including Wade High graduate Thea Bianchini.
While Miss Bianchini has already been accepted into a Bachelor of Arts course, she is hopeful she will also receive a Main Round offer into Pre-med.
“I am excited for the Main Round offers because there is the chance of more opportunities and I look forward to my future and the opportunities with university and my chosen course,” she said.
Miss Bianchini said Pre-med is her first preference and while she is hopeful of an offer she will take a gap-year to think about her course options.
“Having a gap-year will give me more time to think about my course options, I am not sure exactly what I want to do but I know Pre-med will give me more insight into what I can do as the course offers a broad range of options.”
