From Monday, the intersection where Old Wilbriggie Road, meets Kurrajong and Watkins Avenues will be closed as a $1.85 million project gets underway.
Work includes the construction of a roundabout, installing drainage pipes, realigning the approach roads, kerb and guttering works and construccting safety barriers.
Council estimates work will be complete in June 2017.
During this time no access will be allowed through the site and any vehicles going through will face prosecution.
Motorists will be guided through an alternative signposted route and trucks are advised to use Oakes Road
