The Cougars made light work of Yenda at Showground 1 to bowl the Jets out for a meagre 17 runs.
Funnily enough, neither Piawi and Pascoe struck first – Darren Hogan (2) was the first wicket to fall after he was run-out – but they then shared the last nine wickets.
Pascoe took the wickets of Peter Vardanega (3) Zac Ruediger (3) before Piawi clicked into gear.
Piawi removed five batsmen in a row for ducks to have the Jets at 8/15.
The opening bowlers then took one wicket each to finish the innings.
Piawi finished with 6/8 from six overs while Pascoe snared 3/9 from five.
Yenda’s return bowling effort proved the pitch was providing plenty for the bowlers but not enough to stop the inevitable.
Jesse-Wade Ryan (2/10) and Ruediger (1/9) struck early but Coro’s Nicholas Witherspoon (7*) and Clayton Harpley (2*) cruised past the small total in the fifth over.
On their home ground, the Coleambally Nomads proved too strong for the visiting Hanwood. After batting first, Hanwood openers Ryan McWhirter (21) and Reed Bunyan (10) started steadily to put on 19.
However, Shawn Iddles (3/14) provided a triple strike to reduce Hanwood to 3/26.
From there, Coleambally spread the wickets around – with five bowlers taking six wickets between them – as Nick Vendrasco (31) and Brett Docherty (13*) were the only batsmen to make it into double digits.
Hanwood finished its 40 overs at 9/109.
McWhirter (1/14) backed up his batting effort to open the bowling as well and struck first to remove Cooper Smith (2).
Just the two wickets tell after that as opener Jack Weymouth-Smith set the field alight.
Weymouth-Smith carried his bat and piled on 60 runs from 67 balls. He was aided by Zac Leach-Deahm (14) and Sam Casey (14*).
Coleambally reached the target in the 19th over to notch up the seven-wicket win.
The final match of the round saw Diggers beat out rivals Exies easily at Hanwood Oval.
Diggers opening bowlers Greg Collins (2/6) and Craig Tilston (2/26) combined to quickly reduce Exies to 4/22.
Blake Wiseman (16) made a small fightback in the middle order as Exies looked to fight back.
However, Exies’ batsmen were no match for Trevor and Nathan Richards. The father-son duo snared three wickets each to clean up the lower and tail order. Nathan then blasted 25 runs to secure an eight-wicket win.
