Griffith’s squadron are the newest squadron in Australia and the event was the first Air Force Cadet parade held in Griffith.
The parade was also the first Defence Force parade in Griffith since the disbandment of Army and Air Force Cadets in 1975.
Held at the Aero Club, cadets were joined by friends and family, Air Force Cadet officers and Mayor John Dal Broi.
Commanding Officer Flight Lieutenant (AAFC) Michael Borg said the parade was a significant moment for the cadets.
"This parade is extremely important to the cadets as they have trained all year and it is a great opportunity for them to showcase what they have learnt," Mr Borg said.
“It’s also the 75th anniversary of Australian Air Force cadets and in 41 years it’s the first squadron to parade in Griffith, so it is a huge occasion.”
