Classrooms were open for grandparents to explore and take-part in reading time with the day finishing with a picnic on the school grounds.
The day was combined with Socktober Day, which encouraged students to wear crazy socks and make a gold coin donation.
The school raised almost $700 for Catholic Missions, which will go towards helping underprivileged children in Cambodia.
Students learnt about the value of education to underprivileged children and knew the importance of their donation, Principal Sandra Campbell said.
Ms Campbell said the day was a great success with both students and grandparents enjoying their day.
“The children were delighted to have their grandparents visit and show their work to them and read stories together, and it was great for the grandparents to visit the school,” Ms Campbell said.
