Matt Staines and Shaun Stubbs are two key outs for Yenda’s match against Leagues on Saturday at Exies No. 2.
A couple other players have question marks over their availability and captain Brett Hazelman is hoping for the best.
“I think Tom [Spry] might be available again this week, we’ll just have to wait and see,” Hazelman said.
”It’ll be a week by week proposition for him due to family and work commitments.
“I’m not putting any pressure on him but hopefully he can play most weeks.
“Brodie Herron could be available – he’s had a back complaint and will come into consideration.
“Apart from that the team will look the same.”
Spry is a massive gain for the Jets if they can keep him in the side.
He top-scored last week and brings a mountain of experience into the team.
Hazelman believed keeping the current team together would bode well for the rest of the season.
“The side we had last week – if we can stick to a similar side, we should perform a lot better,” he said.
The Jets have suffered two defeats so far this season along with one washout.
Hazelman said he had bowling options coming out of his ears but the efforts in the field and with the bat hadn’t backed his bowlers up so far this season.
“We got a good start batting-wise last week, we were 0-40 through the first 10 overs but we lost three or four wickets quickly in the middle order,” Hazelman said.
“If we can get more consistency going through that middle order, we can produce those bigger scores.
“I think we dropped Haydn Pascoe early on last week and he went on to get a 50.
“If we take those chances when they’re required, we should be right.”
Hazelman said the fielding problems mainly came from a lack of concentration.
“A lot of the guys can switch off a bit when they’re in the field,” Hazelman said.
“We do a bit of catching and ground fielding at training but the concentration sometimes isn't there on game day.
“I always tell the guys in between balls they can switch off a bit but when that ball’s being bowled, their heads need to be in it.”
Last start, the Panthers went down against Diggers.
They went down by just two wickets as the wickets and runs were shared around.
The game starts at 1pm.
