The Anti-Poverty Awards recognise the many young people passionately working towards tackling inequality and injustice with Australia and abroad.
Under the guidance of Pastoral Care Worker, Sue Hone, the Community Action Team recently facilitated an activity to compile kits, which contained the basic personal hygiene items required by those who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
“The students have found the experience of being a part of a team to be extremely rewarding and now have a better understanding and awareness of the community they live in,” Ms Hone said.
