It was a classic case of pipped at the post at the joggers run on Scenic Hill on Saturday when Brendon Sinclair overtook Anthony Salmon within sight of the finish line to claim the final race and the Arsova trophy.

He got two places ahead, which on its own would have been enough for a shared win of the trophy, but also claimed bonus points by finishing in the major places.
The top five in the pointscore all ran personal bests to finish in the top 10 of the race.
Sinclair went like the clappers from the gun "because I knew I had to".
Derek Goullet thought he was going like the clappers "until Adam cruised past me down Torpedo Alley".
Salmon knew he was going full on when twice he "thought about retching going up Torpedo" and Elio Minato found himself in the lead until that "bugger" moment we all have when a backmarker cruises past within sight of the line.
Rodney Savage, the other trophy hopeful, finished fifth and set the fastest time of the competition with his 20:51.
Savannah Vecchio had an unbeatable lead heading into the final race but still put in a good effort to complete a perfect series of top 10 placings in the short course.
Tracy Vecchio would probably win the coach of the year award with her double titles of Milla in the Surfer and Savannah in the Arsova.
Next week is the running of the annual Shanks' Pony Cup starting at the same time and place. The run is a mystery course where the winner will need fast legs, careful navigation and luck. An extra handicap of anywhere from zero to 10 minutes is drawn after the finish line.
The Joggers Dinner follows on the Friday night where all the trophies for the year are presented and the new year starts the next day.
The Joggers run each Saturday at 5:30pm from the water tower opposite Pioneer Park, be early to register.
