Now at the age of 21, with her grandmother’s old sewing machine in hand, Miss Myers has turned that shared love of sewing into her own business.
With the aim of creating unique artistic pieces, Miss Myers uses pre-loved wonders and old material to make up-cycled fashion for her business.
"I was inspired by my grandmother, she was always creating something and I guess I picked it up off her,” Miss Myers said.
"I really admire my grandmother, she could make something out of anything.”
Not wanting to add to the already 80 billion clothing items discarded into waste each year.
Miss Myers said her business also focuses on reducing waste and giving items a new life.
"What I am doing is based around sustainability because fast fashion is the second biggest contributor to waste in the world but waste isn't waste until we waste it,” Miss Myers said.
