Chasing 116 runs, Coleambally’s Tim Hayes (5*) and James Buchanan (6*) steered the side across the line with just two balls to spare.
The blockbuster finish came after Hanwood won the toss and elected to bat.
Cooper Smith (1-22) and Chris Hayes (1-12) struck early for Coly before Zach Pisan (25) combined with Michael Agnew (38*) to put Hanwood in the box seat.
Pisan fell to Bryce Rodgers (1-5) but Tom Bartter (18) picked up right where Pisan left off.
Shaun Harper (1-5) took the prized wicket of Bartter and tight bowling from Simon Toscan (1-3) restricted Hanwood to 6-116.
Ben Rowston’s (2-5) double strike put Coly on the back foot before Ryan Mannes (21) set Coly on the right course.
An inspired knock by Rodgers (43 retired) boosted Coly’s chances before Tim Hayes and Buchanan knocked off the final runs.
In the other match, the Coro Cougars scored exactly twice the amount of runs as their opponents Leagues.
Coro only needed five batsmen as the side accumulated 2-138.
None performed better than Blake Argus who retired on 40 whilst Joshua Smith (21*) and Chase Verri (19) batted strongly.
Tom Wilson (2-22) was Leagues’ sole wicket-taker.
Vince Rovere (25) batted well at the top for the undermanned Leagues and Wilson (17) backed up his bowling with a handy innings with the bat.
However, Leagues ran out of batsmen and time. Argus continued his big game with a run-out and two wickets as the Cougars won by 69 runs.
