Police respond to gunshots
A man has been arrested after shots were fired on a Merungle Hill property, near Leeton on Saturday.

Officers from Griffith were called to the rural residential property about 5:45pm after neighbours reporting hearing an argument and the sound of gun shots.
Police spoke with a male resident and he confirmed he was involved in an argument with another man who had since left the scene. A short time late a 53-year-old man returned to the address and was arrested.
A search of the property found a .410 gauge shotgun and ammunition. The man was charged with possess unregistered prohibited firearm, not keep firearm safely and possess ammunition without authority.
He was refused bail in Griffith Local Court on Sunday and is set to face court again on October 26.
Car stolen in break-and-enter
A car has been stolen from a Standbridge property, outside Whitton, on Saturday afternoon.
Entry was gained to a home on Carver Road between 1pm and 2pm, police report.
A Mitsubishi Pajero, which was parked at the side of the home, was stolen but relocated around 3pm in Yates Road, Leeton.
Police nab drunk drivers
On Saturday about 2.25am, police stopped a vehicle on Beelbangera Road in Beelbangera for the purpose of a random breath test. The 47-year-old man returned a positive roadside breath test and was taken to the Griffith Police Station where his breath analysis returned a reading of 0.135.
He was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for Drive with mid range PCA.
On Sunday about 12.50am, police attempted to stop a vehicle on Benerembah Street in Griffith for the purpose of a random breath test.
The vehicle sped off, initiating a short pursuit through a number of Griffith streets.
A few minutes later the vehicle was located on the front lawn of a house in Harwood Road and the male driver ran from police.
Police pursued the man to Griffin Avenue where he was detained, the 24-year-old returned a positive result and he was taken to Griffith Police Station.
His analysis returned a reading of 0.130 and he was charged with mid range PCA, Drive with expired licence and Not obey police direction.
