The Murrumbidgee Local Health District’s Aboriginal Health Unit hosted a Mini Olympics.
Almost 300 participants from across the district competed in nine events at Kyeamba Smith Hall.
“It was brilliant,” chronic care co-ordinator Marylouise Simpson said.
“We had a really successful day and got great feedback from the participants.”
The event is part of Aunty Jean’s Good Health Program, an initiative aimed at the prevention and intervention of chronic disease focusing on clinical, education and exercise.
“It’s about getting a message across in a fun environment and it’s a day of celebration,” Mrs Simpson said.
