Rand plans to repeat knock

CORO'S Rob Rand will be looking to lead from the front again tomorrow as the Cougars look to keep the Yenda Jets grounded in the fourth round of the Griffith District Cricket competition.

After spending much of last season in second grade, Rand reminded the competition what he is capable of last round after scoring a well-earned 52 to spearhead his side to victory against Leagues Panthers.

Rob was not the only Rand to continue to impress, with opening bat Tim bagging another 40 runs in a consistent effort by the Cougars.

Alex Flood continues to be the find of the season with the ball, and he backed up the hype with 3-29 off 10, while Glenn Cox showed why he is one of the competition's best fast bowlers on his day.

Yenda will be looking for their top-order to produce more, with their first six batsmen scoring just 90 runs, 51 of which came from Trent McFadzean.

However the Jets on their day can beat any side if they produce with bat and ball and Tom Spry's men will be desperate to secure their second one-day win for the season and keep their finals chances alive.
