He has been selected in the Country under 16s rugby league side that will tour Samoa from Saturday until October 9.
The side will play two matches while on tour, with their match against Samoa to be the curtain raiser to the inaugural Samoa v Fiji test at APIA Park.
Country Rugby League media and communication manager Adam Kidd said Tomasi would add plenty to the team.
“I watched him play earlier this year with the Bidgee Bulls in the Country Championships,” he said.
“He has a lot of potential.
“He’s a big forward that has a lot of power.
“It’s going to be a great experience for him and, for all the kids, to go over there and play.”
The side got together in Sydney this week for a training camp.
Kidd said some of the players had never been to Sydney before, let alone travel overseas.
Tomasi was the Greens under 16s best and fairest player this season after leading the side to an unbeaten record, which included a grand final win over Yanco-Wamoon a fortnight ago. Greens under 16s coach Andrew Pauls described him as a leader and excellent player.
“He leads by example and plays with heart,” Pauls said. “For a big kid, he’s quick on his feet and you know the ball is safe in his hands.
