The Swans had won a grand final package – which included two tickets plus accommodation – to the AFL grand final at the Riverina Football League grand final.
After finding out the Richards’ were yet to find tickets, Griffith Swans’ Norm Campbell said it was a “no-brainer” to pass the tickets along to the pair.
“Good people deserve good things and Nathan deserves to have his parents watch him on that day,” Campbell said.
“You couldn't meet a nicer bloke than Nathan.
“The success he’s had hasn't gone to his head. He’s just a kid you'd like to call your own.
“He’s just a really good kid and a credit to these guys parenting skills.”
The Richards couldn’t be more thankful to the support they’ve received from everyone over the past couple of weeks.
“We’ve had lots of people help,” Trevor said.
“When Jeff [Harris] rang up, we were just stoked.
“We just really appreciate it, we are really grateful for everything the Swans have done for Nathan,” Dianne added.
“For everything they do and just the club in general. It’s just a great club to be around.”
In other news, the Swans’ presentation night is on Friday, October 7.
It will be held at the Exies main club. Tickets are available at Office Choice and cost $50 for adults and $35 for under 17s.
