The wet weather continues to impact on ladies golf in Griffith with Wednesday’s competition cancelled. Saturday however, turned on the sunshine for a single stableford.
There were 11 players with Liz Graham continuing her great form to win the event with 37 points.
Runner-up on 35 points was Dorian Radue.
There were six ball winners with a score of 30 points required.
Sunday was the 27 Hole Foursomes Championship – an event which was keenly contested.
The scratch winners with a score of 133 was Liz Graham and Denise Turner. Runners-up were Judy Leeson and Jenny Thomas on a score of 145.
The handicap winners with a net score of 120 were Kathy King and Dale Spence.
In a solid performance, handicap runners-up were Lesley Bock and Anne Thacker.
Sunday’s event of the day winners were Yvonne Couper and Chris Cunial on a net 122 ½ and the runners-up were Bruna Ross and Val Browne on 128 ½.
Ball winners were Eleanor Hancock and Merle Cudmore, Robyn Hoare and Kaye Dalton.
Hopefully a little sunshine might help the course for next Saturday’s competition which will be a stableford.
