Like the last time the teams met – where Griffith City won 4-3 in a fiery affair – the match went right down to the wire.
The score ended at 1-1 after 90 minutes of play plus extra time.
A penalty shootout was needed and it was Griffith City who stood tall to secure the match.
It was the club’s third consecutive over 35s premiership.
Last year – in a match that also went past the 90-minute mark – Griffith City beat Yenda 2-1 in golden goal extra time.
The over 35s golden boot as well as the best and fairest awards were also named on the night.
Yoogali SC’s Grant Davidson was named the winner of both.
He scored 24 goals from 11 matches.
