“I used to watch shows when I was little and I used to get really excited for the music and dance around the room, my parents noticed, they’re not musical but they helped me out a lot,” he said. Now a viola player with the Australia Chamber Orchestra Collective (ACO) he and others will perform in Griffith on Tuesday September 6 in a rare chance for the city’s residents to enjoy talent so great that was obvious for many of the group from a young age. This will be Mr Greentree’s first visit to Griffith but he says he loves touring through regional areas with the orchestra. “We want to promote the music to areas that miss out, people in rural areas always seem to be a bit more welcoming which is great,” he said. Tickets to see the performance can be purchased from the theatre. The Griffith Regional Art Gallery will also be featuring ACO Virtual where separate audio and visuals of each musician’s performance have been captured so that audiences can interact with and control them.
