THE Armstrong brothers had a tough day on the track when they competed at the NSW Track Championships at the weekend.
While both David and Tom made it into the final of the pro lite class, Tom failed to finish when he fell while David was just edged out of a spot on the podium and finished fourth.
In a red-hot field, David made the final of the pro open but did not place and then failed to finish in the finals of the mixed open.
Griffith rider Phil Ivanoff had a better time of it, finishing second in the dirt track sidecars and third in the senior pre-1985.
