The Crows were slow to start but finished strongly to score their second big win over Griffith for the year, prevailing 14.14 (98) to 7.9 (51).
Leeton-Whitton captain-coach Jade Hodge threw himself forward after quarter-time and it proved a masterstroke as he booted seven goals and steered the Crows to victory.
Hodge had a day out and finished with 7.4 as the Crows booted 10 goals to two after half-time to claim a crucial four points.
Hodge admitted it was a significant turnaround from his team.
“We were pretty ordinary in the first half, the first quarter especially, and Griffith didn’t hurt us much as they potentially could have,” Hodge said.
“That was probably the most disappointed I have been this year, at half-time, with the way we played.
“Having said that, after the footy we played in the second half, it’s probably the happiest I’ve been all year.
“It was probably our best half of footy. To go from eight points down to a 47-point win, it was a really good effort.
“The last couple of weeks we have really dug deep.”
The only disappointing news for Leeton-Whitton was a hamstring strain to Josh Grant.
Aside from Hodge, Neil Irwin performed well in the ruck, while Mitch Conlan, Michael Wescombe, Tyh Evans and Mitch Hardie were others to shine.
Will Griggs and Jordan Iudica were Griffith’s best.
