Beyond Bank held a fundraising barbecue for Kalinda School and Riding For The Disabled (RDA) in front of its Griffith branch on Yambil Street.
RDA secretary Fran Aloisi said it was wonderful to get the support.
“We always have to fundraise for our funding, we don’t get any government grants,” Mrs Aloisi said.
“Every dollar we get comes from donations and we really appreciate the help.”
Beyond Bank community co-ordinator Allanah Hughes said she was happy to be able to help.
“We just want to thank everyone who came along to support these groups, it’s been a great morning,” she said.
Mrs Aloisi’s granddaughter, eight-year-old Sophie, nodded her head while the adults were talking and said it was good to help and have a barbecue at the same time.
“It’s very tasty,” she said through a mouthful of food.
