Vincent Stanford’s case was mentioned in the Supreme Court before Justice Robert Hulme in Sydney on Tuesday. It was adjourned again to July 20 for further mention.
Stanford, 25, has yet to enter a plea to a charge of murdering 26-year-old Ms Scott on April 5 last year.
Stanford’s twin brother, Marcus, pleaded guilty in Griffith Local Court on March 31 to being an accessory after the fact of murder.
A date and venue for sentencing of Marcus Stanford is yet to be set.
Vincent Stanford, a cleaner at Leeton High School where Ms Scott worked as an English and drama teacher, was arrested on April 9.
It is alleged he killed Ms Scott on April 5, the day she popped into the school to do some work on Easter Sunday.
Ms Scott was due to be married six days later. Stanford was arrested hours before Ms Scott’s body was found in the Cocoppara National Park, about 70 kilometres from Leeton.
Marcus Stanford was arrested in South Australia on June 10 last year and extradited to NSW.
The Riverina continues to grieve for Ms Scott. The latest expression of affection was less than two weeks ago when the Stephanie Scott Amphitheatre was officially opened at Leeton High School on June 22. The opening was attended by Ms Scott’s parents, Merrilyn and Robert.
On the anniversary of her death, Mr Scott said the depth of their loss became clearer as time went on.
“It takes time to sink in what you’ve actually lost,” Mr Scott said. “As time progresses you realise just how deep the loss is because of the way she’s impacted on your life. (The pain) is not just going to disappear, grieving is an ongoing process and when you’ve got someone who was such a delight to have in your life there’s a lot to miss.”
Ms Scott’s family and fiance invited community members to gather with them in Mountford Park in Leeton on what should have been the school teacher’s wedding day last year.
