The gallery has curated a line-up event to celebrate Indigenous arts and culture in the Riverina that will appeal to all ages.
Gallery co-ordinator Raymond Wholohan said the night would be based around three key events, starting with acclaimed poet and writer John Muk Muk Burke performing a recital of his poetry.
The second event will be an artist floor talk by Griffith based artist Veronica Collins, who will provide insight into the narratives and inspiration behind her artwork.
The final event of the gala evening will be a dance recital by children from Griffith’s Youth Off The Streets program.
There will also be an opportunity to view, Murrumbidgee Marramarra, an exhibition that showcases Indigenous artists living and working in the Western Riverina.
This free event is open to all and will be held on Wednesday from 6pm at Griffith Regional Art Gallery, 167 Banna Avenue.
