After last week’s 22-4 win over Leeton, Hay wrestled the ladder lead off the Greens.
The result was a turnaround of the 18-12 loss Hay suffered in round one to Leeton.
The reigning premiers are deserved ladder-leaders with the best attacking and defensive record.
Their attack led ably by Rachel Pearson with well over 100 points to her name.
Leeton’s knack of winning close games sees them sitting second.
Two points behind Hay and Leeton are West Wyalong and Yenda on 15 points each.
The sides boast almost identical for and against with West Wyalong slightly better.
Caitlin Kelly for West Wyalong and Maddison Payne for Yenda have been their respective side’s most prolific try-scorers.
The Black and Whites round out the top five following a handy 24-6 win over the Waratahs last week.
The bottom four sides all still have a chance to make a run for the top five.
