United will be playing their catch up game at No. 1 Oval on Saturday night against West Griffith after it was washed out last month.
The round was originally scheduled to be their bye.
However, with the team putting in an improved effort against Hanwood FC last weekend, assistant coach Joe Trifogli believed a win was right around the corner.
“Hanwood are right up there this year, like they always are, so to only go down 2-0 was pretty good,” Trifogli said.
“I thought we actually played quite well.
“One of their first goals came from a penalty, while the second was the result of a lapse in concentration from us. I was pretty proud of the boys’ efforts.
“We went in with our locals and they stood up.”
Trifogli acknowledged while the side had improved it was time that translated in to wins on the board.
The match starts at 7pm.
