The Clark-Baylor-Date Experience will see two of Australia’s greatest jazz guitarists accompany a sensational double bass player for what should be a highly entertaining evening.
James Clark is the double bass/tuba playing specialist who has worked with many of Australia’s reputable jazz vocalists.
This sought after musician has been in Adelaide for the past 20 years playing with the Royal Garden Jazz Band, the Kym Purling Trio, Catherine Lambert and the Hep Hounds.
Somehow in that time James has also managed to play with a number of Melbourne bands and toured Europe 20 times.
Peter Baylor’s eclectic guitar and vocal styles allow him to move effortlessly from jazz and swing to blues, rockabilly and country styles.
He’s toured Australia, the USA, Europe and Japan with a variety of groups and has even supported Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, The Stray Cats and many more big name acts.
Nigel Date is an in-demand professional guitarist that makes his life one of a gypsy neatly befitting for the gypsy style he plays.
Having played at all of Australia’s major jazz festivals, Nigel has ventured overseas with his musical prowess as well.
His talents have seen him appear on countless recordings, performed for radio and TV.
First Friday Live co-founder Livio Mazzon is excited about seeing the trio live
"There is going to be some serious talent in the room at our next event,” he said.
“I am thrilled that we have been able to secure The Clark-Baylor-Date Experience to showcase some of Australia’s most talented musicians.”
The Clark-Baylor-Date Experience will be appearing at Giuseppe’s Restaurant & Bar at 7.30pm on Friday, July 1. You can get your tickets at Lesley's of Griffith and Beelbangera General Store until Friday.
Or rock up on the night where tickets are available for $15 at the door. The regular lucky door prizes and raffles will be back with prizes to be won.
