The second round was on Sunday.
Jake Harrison and Anthony Ross emerged victors with a two round score of 144.
Tony McBride and Tuiru Phillip won the handicap on 130 nett.
Saturday’s results: Stephen Joyce and Max Turner 65 nett, Neil Mahaffey and Richard Wiseman second 66 nett on a countback over Brett Angel and Geoff Simms 66 nett.
Martin Sweeney won the pins on the 4th and 8th, 7th Chick Graham, 11th John Harrison, 15th Shane Gaffey and 16th David Kidd.
Vouchers went to 69 nett on a countback.
Sunday was won by Tony McBride and Tuiru Phillip 61 nett on a countback over Jake Harrison and Anthony Ross 67 nett.
Wayne Tyndall won the pin on the 7th, Bob Trembath 16th.
Vouchers went to 67 nett.
The semi-finals of the McNabb Caltex Matchplay were completed last week.
As a result Travis Payne d Jack Draskovic 6/5 and will play Adrian Kidd in the final, beating John Harrison 5/4.
The final is to be played by Sunday, July 10.
The second round of the Lowes Mobil Matchplay is to be completed by Sunday, July 24.
Another big two days of golf this coming weekend.
Saturday sees a single stroke for the July monthly medal and on Sunday, the 27 Holes Mixed Foursomes Championship will be contested.
All competition players, including the ladies, will tee off on the front nine to allow greater access to the course for social play.
Today’s event is a single stableford and also on Sunday in conjunction with the Foursomes.
Veterans golf
THE veterans played the fourth round of the Winter Cup.
Tony McBride 35 points won the 0-18 Grade, Roy Calabria 31 points second.
Denis Moran 40 points won the 19-36 Grade ahead of Allan King 37 points.
Tony McBride won the 16th pin.
Vouchers to 30 points.
Another single stableford this week, and the final of the Winter Cup.
No golf carts were allowed on the course last Wednesday, resulting in only 19 players in a single stableford.
The event was won by Len Sexton 35 points on a countback over Matt Hallam 35 points.
Vouchers were won by Shane Gaffey 33, Don Catanzariti 33, David Kidd 33, Albert Donadel 31, Brendon Peters 31.
