In a clash between ladder-leading Tullibigeal Lakes United and last placed Yenda, the Sharks looked the good bet on paper.
But that’s why they play the game.
Thanks to an all-around team effort by the Blueheelers, they made the hour-and-a-half trek home having tasted victory for just the second time all season.
Yenda ran in six tries to TLU’s four on their way to a 32-20 victory.
This was TLU’s second loss in their last three games after they started off the season on a six game winning streak.
While the loss wasn’t enough to knock TLU out of first place, it did do wonders for Yenda. The club no longer has the unwanted title of being last on the ladder.
