Devpaal Singh from Multicultural NSW said the idea was to listen to the community through a combination of services and community members and see where the state government can help.
“That’s one of the greatest things about Griffith, we’ve noticed it’s accepting of other cultures and everyone seems to live in a harmonious way,” he said.
“We need to figure out how and why that is.”
Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli said he believed the council was a good idea.
“Sometimes the success of the Griffith community’s multiculturalism is not always appreciated as it should be,” he said.
“We are a very successful area.”
