The ski racer started his campaign on Saturday, May 21 in the 70mph social class with the Murrumbidgee Madness crew.
In rough conditions, Spencer was unlucky to miss out on the top spot as he claimed second, just six seconds behind the winner.
The Wade High School student’s fortunes turned around on the Sunday in the 70mph expert class as he snagged the top spot to close out his season.
Spencer will now break for a few months before he starts the new season in a new class.
“He’s going to step up to novice, which has no speed limit, next year,” Jess’ dad Mark Spencer said.
“It was really good racing on the weekend. It’s one of the best spectators races there is. They run a pretty good show.
