Police are warning Griffith tradies to lock up their gear after a number of thefts from utes in the area.

Inspector Kim Traynor from Griffith Local Area Command said the most recent incident occurred in Leeton on Saturday night.
“A number of items including a fridge, toolbox and hand tools were stolen from the tray of a ute parked in Fig Street,” Inspector Traynor said.
“These types of vehicles have been targeted in the Griffith and Leeton areas recently with a number of incidents of this nature.
“We want to warn people to secure these vehicles in their yard or a garage or shed.
“They should also secure their valuables where possible.”
