Exies’ attack was on song in round nine of the Griffith Hockey Association men’s competition as the side took down Astral Pools at Westend Oval on Saturday.

Nathan Street, Dave Ralph and Willam Lyon all scored a goal each for Exies in the 3-1 victory while Jesse-Wade Ryan scored Astral’s only goal.
Next to take to the field in the men’s division was Easts and Bob Jane.
The match was incredibly close but Easts were able to come out on top 2-1 thanks to a double from Trevor Cowie.
Jamie Piva scored for Bob Jane in the loss.
The women were out to make it a clean sweep for Easts against Victoria Hotel but were only able to salvage a draw.
Amie Salvestro and Helen Dalton scored one goal each for Easts while Shelley Day and Karren Johnston bagged a goal apiece for Victoria Hotel in the 2-all draw.
Game two saw Pinnacle play Griffith Bricks in a back and forth affair.
Pinnacle just got home in the end, winning 2-1.
Angela Harrowell nailed both goals for Pinnacle as Ellen Baird was able to pick up one for Griffith Bricks.
