Migration a real threat?
Anti-immigration propaganda is on its peak leading up to the election. I am amazed to see how some of our selfish politicians put aside human sympathy and link immigration with national security and cultural sensitivities. Some try to present themselves as self-taught religious experts and go about attacking others and spread hatred. Yet they forget to remember that we are living in a modern age where our world has truly become a global village.
Media, internet, satellites, missiles and atomic weapons can be used to destroy any country from a remote location. Rather stopping the talent flow in the country, we should take pride in giving quality life to vulnerable people. As a Muslim I believe we should strive to establish peace, prosperity and equality on a global scale. We can stop migration only by removing the compelling needs behind it.

We need a ‘Trump card’
“To be or not to be” seems to be the question on many people’s lips as they watch the lead-up to the American presidency nomination.
Donald Trump is stirring up the melting pot, telling it how it really is in the hearts and minds of the people. I hope he wins. They will get to see their wishes fulfilled if he does win. Like him or hate him, Trump has touched a nerve that has set off a chain reaction, saying what the people feel but don't have the clout to convey. They want their country to be theirs (not everyone else's). They are tired of being treated as second class citizens in their own nation.
Does that sound familiar?
The majority of our “true blue” feel the same about our nation. The only difference is we aren't fortunate enough to have a “trump card” that has the courage of his conviction. Most of ours are at the bottom of the pack.
Sure we watch them getting shuffled but somehow they don't measure up or ever reach the top of the country's expectations. One thing they do shine at is to overlook the proper behavioural pattern that the people would wish. They don't follow through on issues of importance. They sell us off to everyone who wants a slice of our land. They fall all over themselves not to offend the outsiders who roll up on our doorstep, move in on our territory and take over our lifestyle by rearranging it to suit themselves.
Even our Christian values, important to us being predominately a Christian nation, have been allowed to be eroded at our expense. We have a law system that pampers to the criminal element at the expense of the people who are law abiding. We have thuggery, killings, break-ins and drug addicts, who are allowed to thrive because our governments lack courage.
These are the ones who have the audacity to expect the people to re-elect them back into office. They don't give a damn about the true Aussie people.
The ones whose forefathers helped build this nation and are watching it get given away to anywhere and anyone who meets the criteria.
Time to purge from our nation those who come here with their greedy intentions, so those whose intent is based on terrorism are gone. Deport all offenders who fail to accept our way of life and the freedom this country offers them. We need another Robert Menzies or Ben Chifley, or at least someone of their calibre.
