“It was a time for younger leaders and new ideas, but I am pleased to stay in this role for the sake of continuity,” newly elected vice president Tom Marriott said.
“Joseph Amato was elected president while Nancy Ippoliti was elected secretary and Tanya Bailey became the new treasurer.
“It was a hugely successful meeting, with 35 new members and the promise of many more in the future.
“Joseph has a great interest in diabetes, particularly in educating children on how to avoid this disease which is becoming an epidemic.
“We have a joining fee of only two dollars so that everyone can afford to belong, and can donate if they wish
“A vote of confidence also came in significant donations from both the Happy Wanderers from Hay and the 2RG Sunshine Club from Darlington Point.”
