The team reverted back to Tier 2 of the Country Championships after a two-point loss to Central Coast in Tier 1 two weeks ago and are one win away from another final.
Riverina will be without centre Kose Lelei along with front row pair Andrew Cowhan and Luke Serevi for the clash.
Lelei is unavailable due to work commitments, Serevi received a three game suspension this week for a dangerous tackle and Cowhan broke his thumb in Albury’s loss to Southcity on Sunday in the Group Nine competition.
After pulling out of the clash with Central Coast, Bulls centre Usaia O’Sullivan will come back into the team to replace Lelei.
As for the two front row vacancies, Riverina coach Josh Cale had called one player in as well as promoting the side’s 18th man from Riverina’s last match.
“It wasn’t easy [to find a replacement], we had a few blokes from both groups in line and some were either unavailable or injured,” Cale said.
“We decided on Aaron Slater, he’s been playing some really good footy.
“He’s been playing some good minutes and we’re looking forward to having him in the team.
“Our 18th man, Jon Huggett, he’ll probably come into the 17.
‘He’s been around the squad and he knows the structures.”
With the late changes, Cale said simplicity combined with not pressuring the players too much would be key on Saturday.
“We know the boys have a big commitment with their normal teams so we keep it nice and relaxed and hopefully when it comes to going out on the field, the boys will be switched on,” Cale said.
Last year, Riverina defeated NRRRL on its way to the title and Cale is looking to study the tape of their 56-14 win over North Coast.
The game starts at 12.45pm and will be live streamed. Live streaming links will be available via crlnsw.com.au
