The Black and Whites have had a horror run with injury – mainly in the back row – and it was hoped a few would return following an extra week of recovery.
Of those players on the sideline, David Milne has a chance of returning this Sunday against Tullibigeal-Lakes United at EW Moore Oval.
“He’ll have to go through a fitness test on Thursday. He trained on Tuesday and he’s still a bit tender,” Black and Whites co-coach Craig Morriss said.
Morriss was happy to give his players a week off.
“I think with the week off – we needed it just to freshen a few guys up,” he said.
“We’ve had a small pack all year and they’ve been playing above their weight.
“It was just wearing them down. They’ve done a great job – guys like Michael Uin, Clint Lilo, Andrew Lavaka, you can’t speak more highly of them.”
The match starts at 3pm.
