The Bulls fell to the Western Rams in the first round of the championship and now have a chance at redemption in the final at Scully Park, Tamworth on Sunday.
To add to the occasion, the match will double as a curtain-raiser for the City-Country Origin match.
Yenda Blueheeler juniors Jermayne Cook and Solomona Mapesone will lace up the boots for Bidgee and were excited but nervous about playing on the big stage.
“It’s overwhelming playing in front of a bigger crowd than we're used to,” Cook said.
The nerves are one hurdle but the Rams are the biggest one. Last time they met, Western ran away with the match against the Bulls.
Bidgee has come a long way since then, notching up three wins on the trot.
Cook and Mapesone believed the time spent playing together as a team had improved Bidgee immensely.
“We just need to hold the ball and get our plays set, we didn't have anything set [last time against the Rams],” Cook said.
“The wins that we had after that have helped us learn how we best play together.”
The match will kick off at 1.40pm with the under 16s starting at 12.15pm.
