Leeton took a narrow 18-12 lead into half-time of the Group 20 first grade fixture before streaking away from DPC.
There was no inspirational speech from captain-coach Brent Pike at half-time, just a simple message.
“I just said ‘let’s not change anything. Let’s just stick to our structure and get numbers in defence and the points will come’ which they did,” Pike said.
“The boys really stepped up and played well.
“It was our first game at home and we didn't want to let the committee and the fans down.”
Pike said youngster Todd Prest was a standout in the win.
The lock stood out for his defensive effort in a match where points flowed.
The win is the Greens’ third in a row and they now sit atop the Group 20 ladder alongside the Griffith Black and Whites.
