Well for Hanwood FC, they all came at once.
“We haven’t ever won a game like that before,” Hanwood FC coach Brian Bertolin said after his side’s 18-goal drubbing of St Clair United in the Bill Cullinan State Cup on Sunday.
Kyle Greaves scored five, Michael Cimador snagged four, while Jason Bertacco and Andrew Quarisa each netted home three.
Bertolin said it felt good to get the result away from home (Sydney).
“To travel all this way, you don’t want to come away with a loss,” he said.
“That’s the thing in the State Cup, you don’t know what to expect. We probably got drawn against one of the worst teams in the comp.”
They didn’t start off the game too flash however.
“They had a couple chances early,” Bertolin said.
“Then we clicked, got two or three and then they fell away a little bit.”
Hanwood now move to the official round one of the competition.
