Yenda got off to a rough start as they fell to 3-15.
Tom Spry (31) and Mark O’Connor (70) settled things down.
When Craig Lugton dismissed Spry, Yenda was still in a spot of bother at 4-64.
A resilient O’Connor didn’t let up though as he helped guide his team to 7-157 before the innings was declared.
Diggers got off to a good start thanks to Jarrod Cahill (56) but he had little support.
Tom Spry ran rampant and finished with figures of 5-13 off 12 overs.
Diggers ended its innings with 95 runs on the board.
Yenda captain Brett Hazelman said it was a much needed win.
“The boys are very confident we can make the semi-finals now,” he said.
“Every game is a big game from here on.
“The next two games are very winnable, so we just have to keep playing like we have.”
