THE plane, believed to be a fixed wing Cessna, is expected to circle Wagga airport for the next hour to burn fuel.
It will approach from the west and as it circles, it is getting lower and lower.
A witness at the scene has told The Daily Advertiser the front wheels are in place but the back wheels don’t appear to be.

A GRIFFITH bound plane is expected to make an emergency landing at Wagga.
The plane, believed to be a private aircraft with one person on board, is circling Wagga airport.
Emergency services are at the Wagga airport.
Police, firefighters and ambulance officers were at Griffith airport this morning.
The Area News understands they were awaiting its arrival but it is now heading on to Wagga.
It is understood the landing wheels of the plane have jammed.
